How To Install A Diaphragm Pressure Gauge

How to install a diaphragm pressure gauge?

Diaphragm pressure gauges are mainly used for pressure measurement of fluid media in the production process of petrochemical, alkali production, chemical fiber, printing and dyeing, pharmaceutical, food, health systems, alkali production and other industrial sectors. Diaphragm pressure gauge is suitable for measuring medium pressure of strong corrosion, high temperature, high viscosity, easy to crystallize, easy to solidify, and solid floating objects, avoiding the direct entry of the measuring medium into the universal pressure meter, preventing the accumulation of sediment and easy to clean

Diaphragm pressure gauge installation recommendations:

1. It is recommended to select the pressure range of the pressure gauge, which should be selected within the range of 1/3 to 2/3 of the pressure gauge dial.

2. The test pressure shall not exceed the gauge pressure or the system pressure.

3. Avoid the mixing of oxygen and hydraulic oil (the pressure needs to be forbidden to test), so as to avoid explosion due to diesel effect.

4. The pressure gauge cannot be disassembled, repaired or adjusted at will. It must be carried out by professional maintenance technicians.

5. When using a high-pressure system, special attention should be paid to the installation, especially the air pressure.

6. The pressure gauge should be installed in a place where the reading is convenient, firm and free of vibration sources.

7. If the temperature of the use environment and medium is too high, a high temperature pressure gauge or a siphon tube should be used for cooling.

8. If the measured pressure medium is corrosive (strong acid or alkali) or high concentration of fluid and powder, a pressure gauge or diaphragm pressure gauge with corrosion-resistant materials (SS316, PP) should be selected.

9. Before assembly, conical screws (PT, NPT) should be wrapped with leak-proof tape or thread fixative (hypoxic glue), and parallel screws (PF, PS) should be covered with spacers or (copper or Teflon).

10. When installing the vertical pressure, gently turn the pressure gauge to the position to be locked by hand, and then use two correct wrenches, one fixed on the hexagonal joint to be locked, and the other wrench to turn the hexagonal of the pressure gauge everywhere. tighten.

11. Install the built-in pressure timer. After doing the same thing as item 10, use the three holes to secure the pressure gauge flange or remove the bracket.

12. It is strictly forbidden to rotate the pressure gauge by hand for assembly. This can cause damage to the internal parts of the pressure gauge or cause false indications.

13. It is forbidden to squeeze the diaphragm part of the diaphragm pressure gauge with any objects or fingers. This will cause the diaphragm to deform or be damaged and the pressure gauge will become clogged.

14. After the installation is completed, if the machine is running and testing, attention should be paid to the various pressure regulating equipment of the pressure source. It should be adjusted to zero first, and then the required pressure should be adjusted after starting, so as to avoid the instantaneous pressure exceeding the surface pressure after starting. , causing damage to the pressure gauge.

15. The pressure gauge needs to be checked and calibrated regularly to ensure the accuracy of the pressure gauge. The calibration period is set as desired. Once a year is generally recommended.
