The Hongqqi Chorus Ensemble won the Excellent Performance Award in the Yueqing City Workers' Chorus Competition.
From "Zero Foundation" to Entering the Final Round - The Hongqi Chorus Ensemble won the "Factory Song Resonant, Music Awakens Splendor" Yueqing City Workers' Chorus Competition Excellent Performance Award.
Celebrating the National Day and Composing a Magnificent Chapter
On September 29th, the "Factory Song Resonant, Music Awakens Splendor" Yueqing City Workers' Chorus Competition final was successfully concluded. The Hongqqi Instrument Company Chorus Ensemble competed against 21 other enterprises from Yueqing on the same stage and successfully entered the final round, and won the Excellent Performance Award.
Behind the medal lies a group of "people who can't sing" from Hongqqi, a touching story written with persistence and unity.
A blank sheet of paper, starting from zero
To be honest, the members of the Hongqqi Chorus Ensemble are almost all "zero foundation" - in daily life, they are technical experts in the workshop and business experts in the office, but they are not considered "people who can sing". During the first rehearsal, some people couldn't find their pitch, some were afraid to speak, and there was a pervasive negative emotion of "I can't do it, I don't know how to sing".
Teacher Mu, the instructor, did not give up but taught one by one, person by person: how to get rid of the habit of "singing with the voice" and learn to sing with "air"; what is resonance of the cavity, how to make the voice stand up and blend in... For us, a blank sheet of paper, every concept was a hurdle. During the daily rehearsals, when the voice was hoarse, confidence wavered, and the mentality collapsed, the thought of "Let's just sing casually" popped up more than once. But whenever this happened, someone would say: "Try again." It was this mutual support that helped everyone persevere step by step.
Never having performed before, we also had to do it well
This time, the participating program not only required "singing", but also "acting". A drama about an army returning from the war, a cute and playful little girl, an old man who sewed the Hongqqi with all his heart and effort.
Without performance experience, we used the most basic method - watching videos and repeatedly studying our roles, one action at a time, one tone at a time, polishing. Hard work paid off, and that perseverance ultimately made their every appearance on the stage.
Hard work became the visible brilliance on the stage
When the music started and the lights came on, the deep affection of the soldier, the playful and cute girl, the old man sitting around sewing the Hongqqi with all his heart and effort, and the resounding singing intertwined. At that moment, all the persistence had an answer - everyone's efforts became the visible brilliance on the stage.
And the weight of the "Excellent Performance Award" precisely lies in this. It does not praise the few minutes on the stage, but rather the cohesion of this team from their respective positions to the same goal, the spirit of Hongqqi people not afraid to start from scratch, and the vitality of not being afraid to learn from the beginning.
Gathering hearts through singing, moving forward towards the new
Looking back on this competition, it brought Hongqqi not just a medal. From "zero foundation" to reaching the final stage of the competition, it made every participant truly experience the power of a collective. Changing "I can't do it" into "We have achieved it", this confidence and cohesion will be brought back from the stage to the workshop and the position, becoming the confidence of Hongqqi people in facing any challenges. This is also the most vivid expression of the company's "harmony" culture.
Here, we sincerely thank the organizing committee of the competition for carefully building the stage, allowing the workers' culture to have a stage to blossom; we also thank every silent and dedicated staff behind the scenes.
The factory song resonates, music awakens splendor. This time, the Hongqqi people turned the team into a song; in the future, we hope we can sing more love and responsibility to a farther distance.
