Hawaiian Couple's Wedding Interrupted By Huge Waves

According to foreign media reports on the 19th, a couple in the United States held an outdoor wedding on the beach in Hawaii recently, but a row of huge waves suddenly hit, not only destroyed the beautifully decorated wedding venue, but also made the couple and guests soaked. Run around for cover.

That day, towering waves crashed over the roof of a two-story townhouse in the same area, flooding a parking lot. According to the National Weather Service, the waves were more than 6 meters high, causing damage to several local buildings and closing roads. A meteorologist said the "historic" wave was linked to Tropical Storm Darby, high tides caused by climate change and rising sea levels.

They initially assumed that due to tropical storm "Darby", there may be heavy rain on the wedding day, but they did not expect a row of huge waves "uninvited".

Some people started backing away until the waves approached the seawall. A few seconds later, the huge wave that hit the seawall broke out, engulfed the flower-decorated table, and smashed the guests with the table and chairs. Luckily, no one was hurt at the wedding, people just got wet and their 3-tier wedding cake was lucky enough to survive. After some clean-up, the couple went on with the ceremony.

On that day, waves not only disrupted Murphy's wedding, but also rushed into residents' homes. According to the "Daily Mail" report, on the 16th, in Keauhou (Keauhou), south of the town of Kailua Kona, the two-storey townhouse was hit by huge waves. Video from the scene showed a row of huge waves over the roof of the villa, submerging parts of the house and a parking lot.

According to the National Weather Service, many south-facing coasts across the island of Hawaii have seen "historic" surf conditions. This has been linked to Tropical Storm Darby, high tides due to climate change and rising sea levels. While it's hard to blame an extraordinary event like this directly on climate change, "global warming is slowly playing its part." It may gradually affect the change of seasons, and also affect the normal life and work of most people.
