A Sperm Whale Ran Aground in The Waters Off Xiangshan Mountain in Ningbo

On April 19, Ningbo, Zhejiang, near the waters of Banshan Mountain outside the Tongwamen Bridge in Shipu Town, Xiangshan County, fishermen found a sperm whale stranded, and Xiangshan sent five boats to rescue.

Rescuers protected the whales from dehydration, dug grooves around the whales, and splashed water on the whales' bodies intermittently.

At about 21 o'clock, the rescuers passed the ropes that had been tied to the whales before, dragged by three rescue boats, and swam the sperm whales to the deep sea. According to rescuers, the whale was in good condition and "jumped a bit in the water."

At 20:30, after the sea water rose to a certain level, the marine and fishery law enforcement team, emergency rescue and other departments began to approach the whale by boat, preparing to haul it back to the deep sea.

At about 23:50, the towed sperm whale had reached a water depth of about 9 meters. The sperm whale's body gradually regained its vitality and continuously sprayed water mist.

At 1:00 a.m. on the 20th, the fishery administration ship found a lot of fishing nets on the way to the deep sea, so they moved slowly while cleaning up. After several hours of dragging, the sperm whale was finally dragged to the waters near Nanjiyama, about 20 nautical miles away from the stranded waters, for release.

At about 5:20 on the 20th, the fishery administration boat cut off the leash and successfully released the sperm whale into the sea. At this time, the whale turned over, its tail and head were swaying, and it seemed to thank everyone for their efforts. Isn't this the scene of harmonious coexistence between man and nature?
