Process Factors For Pressure Gauge Selection And Determination Of Measuring Range

Process Factors for Pressure Gauge Selection and Determination of Measuring Range

      Pressure is an important parameter in the chemical production process. In the process of daily work, we often need to refer to the pressure situation to carry out the next step. Therefore, it is very important to choose a suitable pressure gauge. What process factors need to be considered in the process of choosing a pressure gauge? The following is to share some knowledge and experience for your reference.

     In fact, in the production work, the correct selection of the type and specification of the pressure gauge according to the product process requirements is an important prerequisite for ensuring normal production and safe production. Generally, the following three requirements should be considered when selecting an instrument type:

    It is to choose a suitable pressure gauge according to the requirements of the product process, mainly considering whether remote transmission, automatic recording or alarm is required;

    The second is to choose according to the physical and chemical properties of the measured medium, such as corrosiveness, temperature, viscosity, degree of contamination, flammable and explosive properties, etc.) whether there are special requirements for the pressure gauge to choose;

    The third factor is the working environment on site. It is mainly to consider whether the site is in a high temperature state, whether there is electromagnetic field, vibration, and whether there are special requirements for the type of pressure gauge in combination with the site installation conditions. For example, if it is installed and used in an oscillating environment, a shock absorber should also be installed; when the measured pressure fluctuates greatly, a buffer should be installed to increase damping.

    In addition, in order to ensure the economical and reasonable use of the pressure gauge, it is also necessary to determine its measuring range in advance. Remember, the range of the instrument cannot be selected too large, but in order to ensure the measurement accuracy, the minimum value of the measured pressure is generally not less than 1/3 of the full range of the instrument. At the same time, considering the service life of the elastic element, to avoid deformation of the elastic element due to excessive long-term stress, the upper limit of the pressure gauge should be higher than the maximum value to be measured (1/2~1/3 of the range), leaving a surplus quantity.
