403 seconds! Our country man-made sun creates a new world record

At 21 o 'clock on April 12, the fully superconducting Tokamak EAST device, known as "artificial sun", achieved a great achievement. It realized the operation of steady-state long-pulse high-confinement mode plasma with high power stability for 403 seconds, creating a new world record for steady-state high-confinement mode operation of Tokamak devices.

The great innovation achievements of the EAST device provide an important experimental basis for the operation of ITER and the independent construction and operation of fusion reactor.
