The countdown to the Paris Olympics has begun. Recently, Hong Kong Sports Federation and Vice President of the Olympic Games, Huo Qigang, revealed in an interview that the Hong Kong delegation will bring their own air conditioning. Huo Qigang said in an interview, "This challenge is really the first time
Huo Qigang, Vice President of the Hong Kong Olympic Committee of China, said, "The challenge of having to bring my own air conditioning (air conditioning) is really the first time. I never thought I would have to bring my own air conditioning. Thank you to the SAR government for doing a lot of things. Winning is certainly important, but enjoying the process is equally important

Recently, the Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chen Guoji, said, "I believe everyone has noticed that the temperature in Paris has been relatively high recently. After close coordination between the SAR government, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Hong Kong Sports Federation and Olympic Committee, the SAR government will transport mobile air conditioners to the athlete villages in Paris
Due to the implementation of the "environmentally friendly Olympics" concept in this year's Paris Olympics, the Olympic Village did not install air conditioning, which has sparked controversy.
According to the Paris Olympics, the Olympic Village will adopt a "natural cooling" method that includes a water cooling system. The water cooling system obtains water cooled to 4 ℃ from a well 70 meters deep underground at a nearby geothermal power plant and delivers it to the pipes under each apartment floor. It is said that these cold water should be able to lower the internal temperature of the building by 6 ℃ to 10 ℃ compared to the outdoor temperature. It will also be equipped with an electric fan.
In addition, about one-third of the buildings in the Olympic Village have gardens on their roofs, aimed at reducing the indoor temperature of the buildings. There is also a pedestrian walkway paved with seashells in the Olympic Village. In theory, shells can absorb rainwater. These moisture will evaporate in hot weather, thus having a cooling effect.
But not all athletes are willing to accept such conditions, and many athletes are worried about not being able to sleep in high temperature environments. Finally, the Paris Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games recently introduced a compromise measure, allowing delegations to purchase or lease air conditioning at their own expense.

After the announcement, according to French media statistics, over 2500 air conditioners have been ordered by various delegations. People's doubts about the Paris Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games mainly lie in the significant impact of high temperatures on the health of athletes. According to previous meteorological records in Paris, the local meteorological agency predicts that there may be high temperatures exceeding 40 ℃ in July and August this year.
It is reported that in response to the high temperature weather of over 40 ℃ during the Paris Olympics, relevant sources revealed that the Chinese Olympic delegation has purchased mobile air conditioning to cope with possible high temperature weather.
I hope other Olympic athletes have heard of the upcoming hot weather with peace of mind.
The recent events have made people ponder whether it is due to financial issues, of course, this is a personal joke.
