Installation problems on different principles of flowmeter requirements are not the same. For some flowmeters, such as differential pressure flowmeter, velocity flowmeter, according to the regulations in the flowmeter upstream, downstream need to be equipped with a certain length or a long straight pipe section, in order to ensure that the flowmeter inlet end fluid flow to achieve full development. And some other flowmeters, such as positive displacement flowmeter, float flowmeter, on the length of the straight pipe section no requirements or requirements are lower.
Some flowmeters have some errors due to the influence of installation, for example, coriolis mass flowmeter, because of the influence of installation stress will bring a lot of errors to use. The problems occurred in the use of traceability flowmeter may not be all due to the problems of the flowmeter itself, many conditions are caused by improper installation. Common problems are as follows:
(1) the differential pressure flowmeter orifice plate inlet surface reverse loading;
(2) the flow sensor installed in the velocity distribution section bad place;
(3) connect to the differential pressure device pressure tube in the existence of an undesirable phase;
(4) flowmeter installed in a harmful environment or inaccessible place;
(5) flowmeter flow direction installation error;
Flow meter or electrical signal transmission line placed in a strong electromagnetic field;
(7) the meter susceptible to vibration interference installed in the vibration of the pipeline;
8) necessary protective accessories are lacking.
