China-Central Asia Summit

On the morning of May 21st local time, Ukrainian President Zelensky attended a meeting at the Group of Seven (G7) Hiroshima Summit with the theme of "The Situation in Ukraine". In response, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated at a regular press conference this afternoon that China has taken note of President Zelensky's participation in the G20 summit. On the issue of the crisis in Ukraine, China has always believed that the crisis should be resolved politically through dialogue and consultation. China also hopes that other countries, especially the relevant countries of the Group of Seven, can work with the international community to play a constructive role in promoting a political solution to the crisis.

On May 21st, Ukrainian President Zelensky delivered a speech at a press conference in Hiroshima, Japan.

According to Japanese media reports, the meeting attended by Zelensky lasted for about one and a half hours. On the afternoon of that day, US President Biden held talks with Zelensky, announcing that the United States would provide new military assistance to Ukraine, and also stating that "we are committed to supporting Ukraine with all G7 countries".
