Axial pressure gauge is an instrument that can simultaneously measure temperature and pressure. The following is a detailed introduction about it:
Structural characteristics
Axial installation: Its threaded joint is perpendicular to the dial, making it easier to install and read in certain installation environments, saving space and facilitating pipeline layout
Multiple materials and sizes: The case material is commonly stainless steel, which has good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, and can adapt to different working environments. There are various specifications for dial diameter, such as 63mm, 80mm, etc., which can be selected according to actual needs
working principle
The working principle of the axial pressure gauge is based on the collaborative work of pressure and temperature sensors. Among them, pressure measurement generally uses elastic sensitive elements such as spring tubes. When the pressure of the measured medium acts on the spring tube, the spring tube undergoes elastic deformation, causing displacement at the end of the tube. This displacement is amplified by a mechanical transmission mechanism and transmitted to the indicator device, thereby indicating the measured pressure value on the graduated disc engraved with the standard measurement unit; Temperature measurement usually uses bimetallic thermometers or temperature sensors such as thermocouples and thermal resistors to generate corresponding physical quantity changes based on different temperature changes, which are then converted into readable temperature values
Main types
Pointer indication type and numerical type: The pointer indication type axial thermometer displays pressure and temperature values intuitively through the position of the pointer on the dial, and has the advantages of simple structure, high reliability, and low cost. It is suitable for some occasions where precision requirements are not extremely high. The digital axial pressure gauge converts the measured pressure and temperature signals into digital signals, and displays them accurately through a digital display screen. It has the characteristics of high accuracy, convenient reading, and strong scalability, which can better meet the needs of modern industrial automation control and precise measurement
Conventional and special types: Conventional axial thermometers are suitable for general industrial and civilian fields, and can meet common temperature and pressure measurement range and accuracy requirements. Special axial temperature and pressure gauges are designed to meet the measurement needs of specific industries or special working conditions. For example, the vibration resistant type is suitable for working environments with high vibration, the seismic resistant type can maintain normal operation under harsh conditions such as earthquakes, the diaphragm type is suitable for measuring corrosive, high viscosity or solid particle containing media, and the corrosion-resistant type uses special corrosion-resistant materials and processing technology, which can be used to measure strongly corrosive media
Contact type and remote transmission type: The contact type axial temperature and pressure gauge can output switch signals through the internal contact device when the pressure or temperature reaches the set value, which is used to control the start stop or alarm of related equipment and is widely used in automation control systems. The remote transmission axial temperature and pressure gauge can transmit the measured pressure and temperature signals to a remote control center or monitoring device through wired or wireless means, achieving remote monitoring and control, and facilitating centralized management of dispersed equipment or systems

In the industrial field, axial temperature and pressure gauges are widely used for temperature and pressure monitoring of pipeline systems, reaction vessels, storage tanks, and other equipment in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and natural gas, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the production process. For example, in the distillation tower of a refinery, by installing axial temperature and pressure gauges, the temperature and pressure at the top and bottom of the tower can be monitored in real time, so that operators can adjust process parameters in a timely manner to ensure product quality and production efficiency
In the field of energy, axial temperature and pressure gauges are used to monitor the temperature and pressure of media such as steam and hot water in energy supply systems such as thermal pipelines, boiler rooms, and power plants, ensuring the normal transmission and conversion of energy. Taking thermal power plants as an example, axial temperature and pressure gauges can be used to monitor the steam temperature and pressure at the inlet and outlet of the steam turbine, as well as parameters such as the water level and pressure of the boiler, to ensure the safe and stable operation of the generator set
In the field of HVAC, axial temperature and pressure gauges can be used to measure the temperature and pressure of refrigerants, hot water, and other media in HVAC equipment such as air conditioning systems and underfloor heating systems. This helps maintenance personnel detect abnormal situations in the system in a timely manner, improving the system's operational efficiency and comfort. For example, installing an axial temperature and pressure gauge on the underfloor heating distributor can conveniently monitor the water pressure and temperature of each branch circuit, ensuring uniform heating of the underfloor heating system
Other fields: Axial thermometers can also be applied in industries such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, as well as special occasions that require precise measurement and control of temperature and pressure, such as laboratories, research institutions, etc.
