A pressure gauge manometer is a device used to measure the pressure of a fluid, usually gas or liquid. It consists of a U-shaped tube partially filled with a liquid, typically water, and a gauge that measures the height difference between the two sides of the tube. The fluid being measured is connected to one end of the tube, causing a pressure differential that causes the liquid to move up one side of the tube and down the other. The gauge on the device measures the height of the liquid, which can be converted into a pressure reading. Manometers are commonly used in HVAC systems, laboratory experiments, and industrial processes.
