Structure and Principle

 

They are usually composed of a positioning device added to the basic body of general pressure gauges or shock-resistant pressure gauges. Their working principle is similar to that of ordinary pointer-type pressure gauges. Mainly, the connecting rod drives the pointer at the end of the sector transmission gear to rotate, so as to indicate the corresponding pressure value on the dial. On this basis, the function of adjustable positioning pointers is added.

Types

 

Double-pointer positioning pressure gauges: There are two pointers. They are generally used to indicate different pressure values simultaneously or the pressures at two different measuring points in the same pressure system. One of the pointers can be used as a positioning pointer and can be set at the required pressure position by adjusting the knob for comparison and monitoring with the actual pressure indicating pointer.

Three-pointer positioning pressure gauges: Besides the normal pressure indicating pointer, there are two adjustable positioning pointers, which can set the upper and lower limit ranges of pressure more accurately and provide clearer pressure warnings for operators.

Memory-needle positioning pressure gauges: During the process of pressure rising, the red memory needle will move along with the movement of the pressure indicating needle and indicate the high pressure value that has ever appeared. Before use, the memory needle needs to be adjusted to the zero position.

Features

 

The pressure-limiting pointers can be adjusted arbitrarily: According to actual needs, through the knobs set on the outside of the instrument, the upper and lower limit positions of the working pressure can be clearly calibrated, which is convenient for on-site operators to intuitively understand the normal working range of pressure, so that abnormal pressure situations can be detected in time.

Having a warning function: Through the red and green positioning pointers, the starting and ending pressure positions can be clearly indicated. When the pressure value exceeds the set upper and lower limit ranges, operators can quickly notice it and take corresponding measures to effectively avoid equipment damage or safety accidents caused by abnormal pressure.

The measurement accuracy is consistent with that of the main pressure gauge: Since the positioning pointer pressure gauges are modified based on common various types of pressure gauges, their measurement accuracy is basically the same as that of the original pressure gauges selected, which can meet the requirements for pressure measurement accuracy in different industrial occasions.

Industrial production: They are widely used in various industrial equipment and technological processes, such as in the chemical, petroleum, natural gas, electric power, metallurgy and other industries, for monitoring the pressure changes in pipelines, containers, pumps and other equipment to ensure the safe and stable operation of the production process.

Selection and Precautions for Use

 

Selection: Select appropriate models and specifications of pressure gauges with positioning pointers according to factors such as the actual pressure measurement range, medium characteristics, accuracy requirements and the use environment. For example, for occasions where corrosive media are measured, corrosion-resistant positioning pointer pressure gauges should be selected; for occasions with high accuracy requirements, products with higher accuracy grades can be chosen.

Installation: During installation, it should be ensured that the pressure gauge is installed in the correct position, which is convenient for operators to observe and operate. And it should be avoided to be installed in environments with large vibrations, drastic temperature changes or corrosive gases. Meanwhile, it should be installed in accordance with the specified installation methods and requirements to ensure a firm connection and prevent leakage.

Use and maintenance: Before use, it is necessary to check whether the pointer of the pressure gauge is at the zero position and whether the setting of the positioning pointer is accurate. During the use process, the pressure gauge should be regularly calibrated and maintained to ensure its measurement accuracy and reliability. If abnormal pointer indications of the pressure gauge or loosening of the positioning pointer are found, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
