Diaphragm Seal Pressure Gauge

A diaphragm seal type pressure gauge is a type of mechanical pressure gauge that incorporates a diaphragm seal to provide a barrier between the process media being measured and the gauge's working mechanism. This protects the mechanical gauge from the corrosive, abrasive, or viscous substances used in many industrial processes while still providing accurate pressure readings.

The diaphragm seal uses a flexible membrane made of materials such as stainless steel or Monel alloy to separate the gauge mechanism from the process media. When the process media applies pressure to the diaphragm, the deflection is transmitted to the gauge mechanism via a hydraulic fluid sealed within the seal assembly. As a result, the gauge reading is a true reflection of the process pressure without the influences of the corrosive or abrasive substances.
