304 stainless steel snubber is preferred for food processing equipment. Full copper snubber is NOT recommended. Reasons:

304 stainless steel is a common food-grade metal with stable chemical property. It will not leach metal ions to contaminate food media, suitable for pure water and food fluid pipelines, meeting sanitary requirements of food processing.

When exposed to water or weakly acidic food media, full copper may release copper ions and form patina, which contaminates food and brings sanitary risks. It fails to meet sanitary standards for food equipment.

Note: Copper snubber may be considered only for dry auxiliary pipelines without direct contact with food media. 304 stainless steel is mandatory if the medium touches food.
